Sie sollen weltweit Armut beenden, unseren Planeten sch\u00fctzen und sicherstellen, dass bis zum Jahr 2030 alle Menschen in Frieden leben und Wohlstand genie\u00dfen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dazu m\u00fcssen wir z. B. Hier k\u00f6nnen Sie verfolgen, wie alles l\u00e4uft (bzw. leider nicht l\u00e4uft - nun schon zum zweiten Jahr in Folge!). \nWir alle m\u00fcssen also viel mehr tun, damit auch etwas geschieht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alle oben genannten Ziele f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung sind nat\u00fcrlich wichtig. Leider stammt diese meistens auch nicht aus nachhaltigen Quellen. Wir sollten also unseren Verbrauch senken und auf eine wirklich umweltfreundlichere Option umsteigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Meine Familie und ich sind derzeit noch Kunden bei einer britischen Energiefirma. Urspr\u00fcnglich hatten wir diese vor einigen Jahren gew\u00e4hlt, da sie preisg\u00fcnstig und scheinbar umweltfreundlich war. Bedauerlicherweise sieht es aber so aus, als w\u00e4re das nur  <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Greenwashing\" target=\"_self\">Greenwashing<\/a> gewesen. Wir wollen jetzt so schnell wie m\u00f6glich zu einem erschwinglichen, umweltfreundlicheren Anbieter wechseln.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Leider haben aber sogar einige komplett umweltfreundliche Anbieter ihre Preise seit der Energiekrise mehr als verdoppelt, \u201eum dem Markt zu folgen\u201c. (Good Energy erh\u00f6hte seine auf ganze  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/money\/2022\/jul\/31\/our-energy-market-is-anti-competitive\" target=\"_self\">7.373 Pfund pro Jahr<\/a>, was ich wirklich schockierend finde).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Zugegeben: Ich habe seitdem Gutes \u00fcber den Kundenservice von Good Energy geh\u00f6rt. Die Firma investiert z. B. direkt in nachhaltige und erneuerbare Energieprojekte. Allerdings w\u00e4re es jetzt doch wohl an der Zeit, Preise f\u00fcr erneuerbare Energieoptionen zu <b>senken<\/b>, um mehr Kunden anzulocken, anstatt sie mit Wucherpreisen abzuschrecken, oder?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Viele Menschen werden sich umweltfreundliche Optionen zu diesen Preisen n\u00e4mlich nicht leisten k\u00f6nnen. Ich muss also weiter nach einer L\u00f6sung suchen, die nachhaltig und erschwinglich ist. (K\u00f6nnten Sie mir eventuell etwas empfehlen? Dann <a href=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/de\/kontakt\/\" target=\"_self\">schreiben Sie mir gerne<\/a>!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Trotzdem kann ich viel tun, um zu Hause <b>und<\/b> in meinem eigenen Unternehmen Energie zu sparen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ich bisher geschafft habe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meine Business-Website<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Meine Website wird mit <strong>100 % erneuerbarer Energie<\/strong> gehostet - von <a href=\"https:\/\/krystal.uk\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Krystal UK<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Fotos und Grafiken auf meiner WordPress-Website wurden <strong>minimiert<\/strong> und mithilfe der <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-smushit\/\" target=\"_self\">Smush-Plugin<\/a> sowohl <strong>optimiert als auch komprimiert<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Energiesparen zu Hause \/ im Home-Office<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Fast alle meine <strong>Ger\u00e4te schalte ich bei Nichtgebrauch und \u00fcber Nacht aus<\/strong> (z. B. Wasserkocher, Toaster, Ladeger\u00e4t, Computer, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Wir <strong> schalten alle Lichter aus, sobald wir den Raum verlassen<\/strong>. (Ich habe meinen Sohn dazu zu unserem Chief Energy Officer ernannt, um das zu \u00fcberwachen. Er ist sehr streng!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wir benutzen so wenig Elektroger\u00e4te wie m\u00f6glich.<\/strong> Wir besitzen weder eine Klimaanlage noch Ventilatoren, sondern \u00f6ffnen einfach die Fenster (besonders morgens und abends) und ziehen die Vorh\u00e4nge zu, wenn es hei\u00df ist. \n\nWir haben auch keine Mikrowelle und nutzen unseren Ofen nur, wenn wir mehr als ein Gericht darin zubereiten wollen. Das sogenannte \u201eBatch-Cooking\u201c ist eine gute Taktik, um Zeit und Energie zu sparen. Hier kochen wir einige Gerichte in gr\u00f6\u00dferen Mengen vor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ich noch tun muss<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich m\u00f6chte in Zukunft nur noch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umweltbundesamt.de\/umwelttipps-fuer-den-alltag\/elektrogeraete\/batterien-akkus#gewusst-wie\" target=\"_self\"><strong>wiederaufladbare Batterien<\/strong><\/a> kaufen. Au\u00dferdem werde ich mich erkundigen, ob wir auf unserem Dach <strong>Solarpanels<\/strong> installieren lassen k\u00f6nnen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Auch unseren Dachboden m\u00f6chte ich <strong>d\u00e4mmen lassen<\/strong>. Wir m\u00fcssen allerdings noch die richtige Firma finden, die uns hier ber\u00e4t. Schlechte Isolierungen k\u00f6nnen n\u00e4mlich Schimmelprobleme verursachen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meine Rente<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich werde meinem Rentenversicherungstr\u00e4ger schreiben und fragen, ob meine Rente <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/luxembourg\/de\/handeln\/wir-weigern-uns-die-klimakrise-zu-finanzieren\/\" target=\"_self\">in fossile Brennstoffe investiert wurde<\/a>. Falls ja, gibt es eventuell \u00f6kofreundlichere Optionen. Wenn nicht, ist es an der Zeit, mich f\u00fcr einen <strong>ethischeren Rentenanbieter<\/strong> zu entscheiden. Unsere Gesellschaft konsumiert viel zu viel. Wir m\u00fcssen den allgemeinen Verbrauch minimieren und uns f\u00fcr verantwortungsbewusste Produktionsmethoden und -quellen entscheiden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ich bisher geschafft habe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kleidung und Waren<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Nach M\u00f6glichkeit kaufe ich Second-Hand-Kleidung und -Waren<\/strong>. Ich bin z. B. ein gro\u00dfer Fan britischer Charity-Shops und Second-Hand-Sites wie Oxfam oder eBay (obwohl ich zur Zeit auch \u00fcber <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethicalconsumer.org\/retailers\/shopping-guide\/ethical-online-shopping\" target=\"_self\">ethischere Optionen<\/a> nachdenke). Ich spare dabei nicht nur Geld, sondern investiere auch nicht in \u201eFast Fashion\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Wenn m\u00f6glich, kaufe ich <strong>regional<\/strong> ein.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Abfallarme oder komplett abfallfreie Optionen<\/strong>. Je weniger Verpackungen, desto besser!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich kaufe <strong>wiederverwendbare Produkte, wenn ich kann<\/strong>, z. B. stabile wiederverwendbare Einkaufstaschen, Wasserflaschen, Masken, Rasierer usw. Fast 2 Millionen Tonnen stammen aus der Lebensmittelindustrie. Es gibt aber noch ein paar, die ich empfehlen kann.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Was ich bisher geschafft habe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Business \/ Freizeit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich habe unsere <strong>Autofahrten eingeschr\u00e4nkt<\/strong> und <strong>keine Flugreisen<\/strong> f\u00fcr Urlaubs- oder Gesch\u00e4ftszwecke gebucht.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich <strong>vermeide es nach M\u00f6glichkeit zu drucken<\/strong> und <strong>abonniere weitgehend digitale Versionen<\/strong> meiner Zeitschriften.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ern\u00e4hrung und Lebensmittel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Als Familie konsumieren wir etwa <strong>50 % weniger Fleisch<\/strong> und sind mittlerweile bis zu <strong>90 % auf pflanzliche \u201eMilch\u201c-Produkte umgestiegen<\/strong>. Rindfleisch (einschlie\u00dflich Milchrindfleisch), Schweinefleisch und Lammfleisch haben einen <a href=\"https:\/\/ourworldindata.org\/carbon-footprint-food-methane\" target=\"_self\">enormen CO\u2082-Fu\u00dfabdruck<\/a>. Deshalb habe ich meine Ern\u00e4hrung auf haupts\u00e4chlich pflanzliche Lebensmittel umgestellt. Meine Familie und ich essen im Moment allerdings gelegentlich noch Bio-Huhn, Fisch und K\u00e4se.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CO\u2082 kompensieren<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Ich bin <a href=\"https:\/\/getoffset.io\/\" target=\"_self\">Getoffset.io<\/a> beigetreten, um die <strong>CO\u2082-Emissionen meines Unternehmens auszugleichen<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recycling und Kompostieren<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Wir <strong>recyceln<\/strong> unsere Verpackungen und <strong>kompostieren<\/strong> alle Lebensmittelabf\u00e4lle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was ich noch tun muss<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Viel!<\/strong> Aber es ist kein schlechter Anfang, oder? \ud83c\udf31<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_next\"><\/span>Und jetzt?&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Was k\u00f6nnen Sie tun? Some of these are good and worth the money. Many, however, are not. They are also often not sold ethically. <br><br>As discussed previously, prompts or offers that aren't in the consumer's best interest are known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.igi-global.com\/dictionary\/dark-nudges\/83828\">'dark nudges'<\/a>.<strong> <\/strong>Selling products or services via fake or paid recommendations definitely should be added to this category.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3><strong>Examples:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>a) Certain a<strong>ffiliate marketing practices<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"left\",\"id\":3632,\"sizeSlug\":\"medium\"} -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Untitled-design-33-300x226.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3632\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Some products and services are highly praised in certain online communities. Let's take the example of a social media marketing course. The course in question, however, may actually not be as good as expected - especially for the money paid. <br><br>Even worse, alumni may receive high incentives to recommend this course to others in their social networks (say, \u00a3100 for each successful referral). Now, if course participants <strong>are <\/strong>genuinely happy with the course and <strong>if <\/strong>it is reasonably priced, this could be a win-win situation.<br><br>Often, however, that's just not the case. Receiving \u00a3100 or more for a recommendation may, nevertheless, be very tempting. Many marketers know and exploit this. <br><br><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> make sure you do your research thoroughly. Avoid buying from affiliate marketing links unless a) you completely trust the person and course provider you're buying from and b) it is very clear how much the person will actually get for this referral. And, if <strong><em>you <\/em><\/strong>refer anyone: would you honestly recommend this course to your best friend? If not - don't.<br><br><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this: <\/strong>ask yourself whether your course provides real value for money. Having tested your (affordable!) pilot course, ask your course participants for detailed anonymous feedback, so you get more honest reviews. Don't bribe course participants to market your course for you. A small reward that is openly declared to prospective buyers may be ok. Much more than that seems fishy.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>b) <strong><strong>Fake positive or negative product reviews<\/strong><\/strong> on websites<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"right\",\"id\":3587,\"sizeSlug\":\"medium\"} -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-medium\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Untitled-design-29-300x226.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3587\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>There are also instances of fake product reviews<strong> <\/strong>on online sites such as <a href=\"https:\/\/amzadvisers.com\/unethical-amazon-seller-tactics\/\">Amazon<\/a>. Some company owners will actually buy competitors' products in order to display a 'verified purchase' tag. They then go on to leave dishonest negative reviews in order to force their competitors out of business. Similarly, friends of unethical product providers may buy a product and leave fake positive reviews.<br><br><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this: <\/strong>always do your research on more than one site. Check out products that have a large number of verified reviews. Extremely positive or negative reviews may not give you the whole picture - usually, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.<br><br><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> don't leave or commission fake reviews - whether positive or negative.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>c) <strong>Networks that enforce recommending their members' services to others<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"left\",\"id\":3590,\"sizeSlug\":\"medium\"} -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Untitled-design-30-300x226.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3590\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>There are a number of 'professional' networks that actively enforce recommending their members' services or products to consumers - even if network members have no idea about the service providers' quality.<br><br><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> again, research thoroughly. Ask questions - has the person recommending the third party actually used the service or product in question? Do you know the person recommending this well? <br><br><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> don't recommend anyone unless you have personal knowledge of their service or product, or are very sure that this person is trustworthy. Avoid paying large sums of money to network groups. There are good free\/ affordable alternatives out there.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>2. Under pressure: increasing prices day by day<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":3728,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\"} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Upset-lady-under-time-pressure-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Upset lady under time pressure\" class=\"wp-image-3728\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Recently, I've also come across a course whose cost increased daily during a week-long sale:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:group -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><!-- wp:list -->\n<ul><li>Monday: \u00a3100<\/li><li>Tuesday: \u00a3200<\/li><li>Wednesday: \u00a3300 etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>By Saturday, it had reached an eye-watering \u00a3600-price tag. An Instagram acquaintance of mine bought a course like this, thinking it would be a good offer. Not only was it a bad course, but she realised that the same \"one-time-only\" offer was made again and again over the next year. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> don't buy if you're obviously being manipulated. There are other course providers who offer fairer deals. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> don't use tactics like these. Set a fair price with a generous deadline (if any) and stick to it. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/div><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:group -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>3. Manipulating unsubscribers <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":3730,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\"} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Unsubscribe-image-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Image of an eraser removing 'un' from 'unsubscribe'\" class=\"wp-image-3730\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>I stumbled on a Facebook ad the other day that promised to reveal yet another \"secret\": how to make money from people who meant to unsubscribe from your newsletter. The lengthy ad copy promised to spill the beans on how marketers can \"profit when people unsubscribe from emails\", including reasons \"why 'Manipulation' is a GOOD word in email\". (<em>Urgh<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> don't fall for special offers that are shown to you just after you hit the 'unsubscribe' button. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> just...don't do it. People who unsubscribe from you are unlikely to be your ideal client anyway. Make unsubscribing pain-free and fast. This is also best from a GDPR point of view.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>4. Fake 'Money-Back'-guarantees <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":3804,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\"} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Untitled-design-36.jpg\" alt=\"Money Guarantee stamp\" class=\"wp-image-3804\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>An Instagram connection of mine gave me another example of serious malpractice. Reassured by a course provider's influencer status and money-back guarantee (apparently \"for any reason\"), she signed up for a digital marketing course at a whopping cost of \u00a31,500.  The course turned out to be very poor and it was impossible to get the money back. The course provider simply claimed that they had delivered the course. Sadly, my contact and some of her fellow course participants felt that this provider was simply \"too big\" to fight: <br><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:quote -->\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>\"What a waste of money. [...] They promised so much, but delivered very little. Total hype.\"<\/em> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<!-- \/wp:quote -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What consumers can do to avoid this:<\/strong>  Do your research carefully. Influencer or celebrity status doesn't necessarily guarantee quality. In terms of money-back guarantees, if you have proof that a service or product did not fulfil its promises, you should first contact the provider with your grievances and any evidence you can supply. Certainly, if the provider claimed that you could get your money back \"for any reason\", you should have a good case. It's wise to keep screenshots of what the provider promised you initially to back up your claim. If this doesn't work, please follow the steps in the next section on how to get your money back.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>What ethical marketers can do to avoid this:<\/strong> again, ensure you provide value for money. Take complaints seriously. Not only could consumers give you a bad reputation through negative online reviews, but they could take you to court. (Of course, concrete evidence of malpractice has to be provided in all cases to justify any action against you.)<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>How to get your money back if you have a good case<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":3805,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\"} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Untitled-design-37.jpg\" alt=\"Consumer Rights\" class=\"wp-image-3805\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Always contact the service provider politely first to try and resolve the situation directly. Ensure you have plenty of evidence why their product or service didn't fulfil their promises. Unsuccessful? Try the following:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>If you paid with certain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneysavingexpert.com\/reclaim\/visa-mastercard-chargeback\/\">credit cards,<\/a> you may be able to provide evidence of malpractice to your credit card provider and get the money back through them if they agree with you (this is called a \"chargeback\"). <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>If a \"chargeback\" is not an option and if the provider doesn't refund your money directly, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensadvice.org.uk\/consumer\/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase\/complain-about-a-service\/\">Citizens Advice Bureau<\/a> in the first instance (for UK consumers). European consumers who bought a service abroad could try the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukecc.net\/\">UKECC helpline<\/a>. US consumers may be able to file a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.gov\/consumer-complaints\">consumer complaint<\/a>. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Each country will have its own way of settling disputes between consumers and service providers, so make sure to check online how to do this.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>Summary: it's not all about money<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":3726,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\"} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/translatedigitalmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Woman-with-cash-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Woman with cash\" class=\"wp-image-3726\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Yes, unethical marketing tactics sell. That's why they're being used. But it's not all about money, even in marketing.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Building your target audience's trust is worth more in the long run than any quick sale you could have achieved with these unethical tactics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>There is a way of marketing ethically.
